Throttle Position Sensor Inspection
Turn ignition off. Disconnect TPS harness connector. Using ohmmeter, check resistance between TPS terminals No. 1 and 4. See Fig 1 . Resistance should be 350-650 ohms. Connect ohmmeter between TPS terminals No. 1 and 3. Operate throttle from closed to WOT position. Monitor ohmmeter while opening throttle. Ohmmeter needle should move accordingly with throttle movement. Replace TPS if it fails any of above tests.
