Vehicle Speed Sensor Inspection

Check output of VSS signal. Raise and support vehicle. Disconnect ECM harness connector. Using DVOM, measure voltage between ECM harness connector terminal No. 18 (Yellow wire) 22-pin connector (California), and terminal No. 19 (Yellow/White wire) 24-pin connector (Except California), and vehicle ground with rear wheels turning. See Figure and Figure . If DVOM does not display a pulse voltage, replace VSS and retest.
