Fuel Pump Operation Check

Remove fuel cap. Using scan tool, drive fuel pump. Listen at fuel filler neck opening for fuel pump operation sound. Check for fuel pressure by pinching fuel hose with fingers. If fuel pump does not operate, check fuel pump relay. See FUEL PUMP RELAY . If relay is okay, check fuel pump circuit. See appropriate wiring diagram under ENGINE PERFORMANCE in WIRING DIAGRAMS.
