Diagnostic Trouble Code Definitions

NOTE: DTCs can only be retrieved by using a scan tool. See ENTERING ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTICS  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.

When Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) is obtained, refer to appropriate DTC test procedure under DIAGNOSTIC TESTS .

(1) All DTCs use two-trip fault detection logic unless otherwise specified. If DTC is for a fault that may affect emissions, MIL will also illuminate.
(2) This DTC will set on first trip fault is detected.
(3) For diagnostic procedures, see appropriate DIAGNOSTICS article in AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS.
(4) The MIL illuminates only on the first detection of the malfunction.
