Component Testing: Rotor

  1. Measure the resistance between the 2 slip rings of the rotor coil to check the continuity between them. Replace the rotor if the resistance is not within the standard value range of 3-5ohm. See Fig 1 .
  2. Check the continuity between the slip ring and the core. If there is continuity, replace the rotor. See Fig 2 .
