Diagnostic Trouble Code Definitions

NOTE: DTCs can only be retrieved by using a scan tool. See RETRIEVING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.

When DTC is retrieved, refer to appropriate DTC test procedure under DIAGNOSTIC TESTS  .

(1) Most DTCs use 2 trip malfunction detection logic that requires DTC to set 2 times during 2 separate drive cycles for MIL to illuminate. If DTC is for a fault that may affect emissions, MIL will also illuminate.
(2) This DTC sets on the first detection of the malfunction.
(3) Front Wheel Drive model.
(4) 4 Wheel Drive model.
