F.A.S.T. FOB WILL NOT PROGRAM -2007-08 Outlander, 2008-09 Lancer/Lancer Evolution . If you receive a complaint that a vehicle will not start, it is possible that external radio signals have affected the F.A.S.T. key fob coding. Attempt to reprogram the fob. If you see "wrong key type" displayed on the MUT-III, open the fob and remove the battery for one minute. Then reinstall the battery and reassemble the fob. This may reset the fob. Attempt to reprogram the fob once more. If you are still unsuccessful, replace the fob. A countermeasure is being developed and you will be advised when it is available.
