Initialization Procedure
Required Special Tools:
- MB991958: Scan Tool (M.U.T.-III Sub Assembly)
- MB991824: V.C.I.
- MB991827: M.U.T.-III USB Cable
- MB991910: M.U.T.-III Main Harness A
CAUTION:
To prevent damage to scan tool MB991958, always turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position before connecting or disconnecting scan tool MB991958.
- After the ignition switch is in "LOCK" (OFF) position, connect scan tool MB991958 to the diagnosis connector.
- Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position.
- Select "MFI" form System select Screen of scan tool MB991958.
- Select "Special Function" form MFI Screen.
- Select "Learned value reset" from Special Function Screen.
- Select "All learned value" form Learned value reset Screen.
- Initialize the learning value by pressing the "ON" button.
- After initializing the learning value, the learning value of MFI engine idling is necessary. (Refer to LEARNING PROCEDURE FOR IDLING IN MFI ENGINE ).
