Air Injection Valve

Apply vacuum to Air Injection Valve (AIV) vacuum motor. See Fig 1 . Apply air to air cleaner side of AIV and make sure air only flows toward exhaust manifold side. Also see appropriate AIR INJECTION VALVE diagnostic chart.
