Boost sensor is located in left rear corner of engine compartment. Disconnect sensor connector and hose. Connect 12-volt battery and voltmeter across sensor connector terminals. See Fig 1. Voltage should be about 2.2 volts. Connect a hand-held vacuum pump to sensor hose fitting. Apply 14 Hg. vacuum at hose fitting. Voltage should be about 1.3 volts. If the voltage is not as specified, replace sensor.
