Fuel Pump

To test system, see appropriate FUEL PUMP Flow chart. On Maxima VG30E engine, a fault in fuel pump circuit may set Code 22. To test system, see CODE 22 diagnostic procedures in TESTS W/CODES article.

To test fuel pump, disconnect fuel pump connector under rear seat (NX and Sentra). At fuel pump connector, check resistance between wire terminals specified in FUEL PUMP RESISTANCE TEST table. If resistance is not as specified, replace fuel pump.
