Fuel Pump Test

To test fuel pump, disconnect fuel pump connector, accessible through trunk (Maxima and 300ZX), under rear seat (Altima, NX and Sentra) or under vehicle body (Pathfinder, Pickup, Quest and 240SX). At fuel pump connector, check resistance between wire terminals specified in FUEL PUMP RESISTANCE TEST  table. If resistance is not as specified, replace fuel pump.

Altima Black & Black/Red 0.5
Maxima Black & Red/Blue 0.5
NX & Sentra Black & Black/Red 0.7
Pathfinder Black & White/Blue 1.5
Pickup
2.4L Black & White/Blue (3)
3.0L Black & White/Blue 1.5
Quest Black/White & Light Green/Red 0.7
240SX Black & Black/Yellow 0.5
300ZX Orange & White 0.5
(1) If more than one Black wire is used at fuel pump connector, check resistance between wire specified in table and both Black wires at connector.
(2) Values are approximate.
(3) Ensure continuity exists.
