Safety Relay

Turn ignition on and ensure power to relay exists. Turn ignition off. Disconnect safety relay connector. Using an ohmmeter, check one-way internal diode in safety relay by checking for continuity in both directions. See Figure . Energize relay and check for voltage signal on relay output circuit. See WIRING DIAGRAMS article to identify proper relay terminals (wire colors) for testing.
