System Tests: Notes
CAUTION:
When battery or ECM is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose data. Driveability problems may exist until adaptation systems have completed a relearn cycle. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES
before disconnecting battery.
NOTE:
ABS may operate and cause brake pedal vibration under any of the following conditions: applying brake gradually when shifting or operating clutch, low friction (slippery) road, high speed cornering, driving over potholes or when engine speed is greater than 5000 RPM with vehicle stopped.
If no DTCs are present and ABS is not functioning properly, identify fault symptom and perform appropriate diagnostic procedure. See ABS SYMPTOM INDEX .
