Guide Sound is Not Heard

  1. CHECK VOICE GUIDE SETTING 
    • While driving in the dark pink route, voice guide does not operate. (note)
    • Is volume setting not switched ON?
    NOTE: Voice guide is only available at intersections that satisfy certain conditions (indicated by BULL on the map). Therefore, guidance may not be given even when the route on the map changes direction.

    Yes or No

    1. Yes : GO TO 2.
    2. No : Switch the setting ON and turn the volume up.
  2. CHECK HARNESS 
    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Disconnect NAVI control unit connector and audio unit connector.
    3. Check continuity between NAVI control unit and audio unit.

      NAVI control unit (+) Audio unit (-)
      Connector Terminal (Wire color) Connector Terminal (Wire color)
      M62 7 (V) M46 36 (V) Yes
      8 (LG) 34 (LG)
    4. Check continuity between NAVI control unit and ground.
    HARNESS CHECK CHART (2 OF 2)

    Terminals Continuity
    NAVI control unit (+) (-)
    Connector Terminal (Wire color)
    M62 7 (V) Ground No
    8 (L/G)

    OK or NG

    1. OK : GO TO 3.
    2. NG : Repair harness or connector.

  3. CHECK VOICE GUIDE 
    1. Connect NAVI control unit connector and audio unit connector.
    2. Turn ignition switch ON.
    3. Check signal between NAVI control unit harness connector M62 terminal 7 (V) and 8 (LG) with CONSULT-II or oscilloscope.
      1. 7 (V)-8 (LG)  : Refer to "TERMINALS AND REFERENCE VALUE FOR NAVI CONTROL UNIT  ".

    OK or NG

    1. OK : Replace audio unit.
    2. NG : Replace NAVI control unit.
