Operation Procedure
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Nissan Altima. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE:
When auto active test is performed with hood opened, sprinkle water on windshield beforehand.
- Close hood and lift wiper arms away from windshield (to prevent glass damage by wiper operation).
- Turn ignition switch "OFF".
- Turn ignition switch "ON" and, within 10 seconds, press left front door switch 10 times. Then turn ignition switch "OFF".
- Turn ignition switch "ON".
- When auto active test mode is actuated, horn chirps once, and oil pressure warning lamp starts blinking.
- After a series of operations is repeated 3 times, auto active test is completed.
CAUTION:
Close left front door.
CAUTION:
Ensure to inspect "Oil Pressure Warning Lamp Stays Off (Ignition Switch On)" in appropriate INSTRUMENT PANELS article and DOOR SWITCH CHECK
in ANTI-THEFT SYSTEMS - ALTIMA article, when the auto active test cannot be performed.
NOTE:
When auto active test mode has to be cancelled halfway, turn ignition switch "OFF".
