Operation Procedure

NOTE: When auto active test is performed with hood opened, sprinkle water on windshield beforehand.
  1. Close hood and lift wiper arms away from windshield (to prevent glass damage by wiper operation).
  2. Turn ignition switch "OFF".
  3. Turn ignition switch "ON" and, within 10 seconds, press left front door switch 10 times. Then turn ignition switch "OFF".
  4. CAUTION: Close left front door.
  5. Turn ignition switch "ON".
  6. When auto active test mode is actuated, horn chirps once, and oil pressure warning lamp starts blinking.
  7. CAUTION: Ensure to inspect "Oil Pressure Warning Lamp Stays Off (Ignition Switch On)" in appropriate INSTRUMENT PANELS article and DOOR SWITCH CHECK in ANTI-THEFT SYSTEMS - ALTIMA article, when the auto active test cannot be performed.
    NOTE: When auto active test mode has to be cancelled halfway, turn ignition switch "OFF".
  8. After a series of operations is repeated 3 times, auto active test is completed.
