Procedure - With Consult-II

- Perform accelerator pedal released position learning, see ACCELERATOR PEDAL RELEASED POSITION LEARNING .
- Perform throttle valve closed position learning, see THROTTLE VALVE CLOSED POSITION LEARNING .
- Start engine and warm to normal operating temperature.
- Check that all items listed under PREPARATION are in good order.
- Select "IDLE AIR VOL LEARN" in "WORK SUPPORT" mode.
- Touch "START" and wait 20 seconds.
- Ensure that "CMPLT" is displayed on CONSULT-II screen. If "CMPLT" is not displayed, idle air volume learning will not be carried out successfully. In this case, find the cause of the incident by referring to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE .
- Rev up the engine 2 or 3 times and ensure that idle speed and ignition timing are within specifications, see Fig 1.
