Procedure 2 (With Consult-II)

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Infiniti M45. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: If a electronic key is lost, the ID code of the lost electronic key must be erased to prevent unauthorized use. When the ID code of a lost electronic key is not known, all controller ID codes should be erased. After all ID codes are erased, the ID codes of all remaining and/or new remote controllers must be re-registered.
  1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
  2. Connect "CONSULT-II" and "CONSULT-II CONVERTER" to the data link connector. See Figure .
  3. Turn ignition switch ON.
  4. Touch "START (NISSAN BASED VHCL)".
  5. Touch "IVMS".

    If "IVMS" is not indicated, go to CONSULT-II Data Link Connector (DLC) Circuit .

  6. Check the model specification, touch either "WITH SUNROOF" or "WITHOUT SUNROOF".
  7. Touch "OK." If the selection is wrong, touch "CANCEL".
  8. Touch "MULTI-REMOTE CONT SYS".
  9. Touch "WORK SUPPORT".
  10. The item shown on the figure at right can be set up.
    • "REMO CONT ID CONFIR"

      Use this mode to confirm if a electronic key ID code is registered or not.

    • "REMO CONT ID REG"

      Use this mode to register a electronic key ID code.

      NOTE: Register the ID code when electronic key or BCM is replaced, or when additional electronic key is required.
    • "REMO CONT ID ERASUR"

      Use this mode to erase a electronic key ID code.
