ILC/RVB/EGR Solenoid

  1. Disconnect solenoid harness connector. Install vacuum pump to manifold vacuum side of solenoid. Apply vacuum to solenoid. Vacuum should pass through when solenoid connector is disconnected.
  2. Apply battery voltage and ground to solenoid terminals. Solenoid should energize. With solenoid energized, apply vacuum to solenoid. Vacuum should not pass through solenoid. If results are not as specified, replace defective solenoid.
