DTC B1379, Ignition 3
- If BFC diagnostic system check was performed, go to next step. If BFC diagnostic system check was not performed, go to BFC DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK .
- Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Disconnect BFC 16-pin connector C1, terminal B8 (Brown wire). Using DVOM, check voltage between BFC harness connector C1, terminal B8 (Brown wire) and ground. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, go to step 6).
- Check for poor connection at BFC connector C1, terminal B8 (Brown wire). If a poor connection exists, go to next step. If connection is okay, go to step 5).
- Repair poor connection at BFC connector C1, terminal B8 (Brown wire). Go to step 11).
- Replace BFC. See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION . Go to step 11).
- Using DVOM, check resistance between BFC harness connector C1, terminal B8 (Brown wire) and right I/P bussed electrical center 68-pin connector C1, terminal C4 (Brown wire). If resistance is 0-2 ohms, go to step 8). If resistance is not 0-2 ohms, go to next step.
- Repair open in Brown wire between BFC connector C1 and right I/P bussed electrical center connector C1. Go to step 11).
- Check for a poor connection at right I/P bussed electrical center connector C1, terminal C4 (Brown wire). If a poor connection exists, go to next step. If connection is okay, go to step 10).
- Repair poor connection at right I/P bussed electrical center connector C1, terminal C4 (Brown wire). Go to step 11).
- Replace right I/P bussed electrical center connector. See INSTRUMENT PANEL article. Go to next step.
- Clear DTCs. Perform BFC DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK .
