Instrument Cluster Indicator(S) Will Not Turn On
- If BFC diagnostic system check was performed, go to next step. If BFC diagnostic system check was not performed, go to BFC DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK .
- Using scan tool, monitor input data from class 2 serial data device for indicator that will not illuminate. If class 2 device is commanding indicator OFF, locate and repair problem in that device. If class 2 device is not commanding indicator OFF, go to next step.
- Using scan tool, command BFC to turn indicator ON. If indicator turns on, go to next step. If indicator does not turn on, go to step 5).
- Replace BFC. See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION .
- Replace instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT PANEL article.
