Memory Seat/Memory Mirror Module Diagnostic Modes

Memory seat/memory mirror module has 2 diagnostic modes to test motor and position sensor inputs. To enter diagnostic modes, ignition must be off. If ignition is turned to RUN or START when module is in diagnostic mode, module will exit diagnostics and sound 3 chimes.

Mode 1 diagnostics tests all memory, seat and mirror switch inputs. To enter Mode 1, ground memory seat diagnostic connector. Module will chime once to indicate that Mode 1 has been entered. All memory seat and mirror functions are disabled in this mode. When memory seat or mirror switch is operated as if performing a function, memory seat/memory mirror control module should chime once to indicate input has been received.

Mode 2 diagnostics tests seat and mirror position sensor inputs. To enter Mode 2, remove ground from memory seat diagnostic connector, then reapply within 5 seconds. Module will chime 2 times to indicate that Mode 2 has been entered. Memory seat and mirrors are not disabled in this mode. When memory seat or mirror switch is operated, memory seat/memory mirror control module will monitor inputs from position sensors. If one chime is heard during any switch operation, memory seat/memory mirror control module has found a problem with that position sensor or its circuits.

To exit diagnostic mode, either remove ground from memory seat diagnostic connector for more than 5 seconds or turn ignition switch to RUN or START position. When module exits diagnostic mode, 3 chimes will sound.
