Solenoid Valve Pressure Hold Test

  1. This test activates selected wheel circuit hold valve, placing it in pressure hold position. When in pressure hold position, valve will not allow master cylinder pressure to be delivered to hydraulic wheel circuit. Preform test as follows.
  2. Raise vehicle on frame contact hoist so wheels to be tested are off ground. Turn ignition on. Using Tech 1, select F4: SPECIAL TESTS and then F0: SOLENOID TESTS. Select solenoid to be tested. Select HOLD PRESSURE mode.
  3. Have assistant apply brakes. Try to spin wheel being tested. While in HOLD PRESSURE mode, wheel should spin even with brakes applied. Repeat test if necessary to verify proper operation. Perform SOLENOID VALVE PRESSURE RELEASE TEST.
