DTC B1369: Ignition 0 Fault: Testing

  1. If BFC diagnostic system check was performed, go to next step. If BFC diagnostic system check was not performed, see procedures in BFC DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  .
  2. Disconnect BFC Gray 16-pin connector C1, terminal A8 (Purple wire). Turn ignition switch to ACC or RUN position. Using DVOM, check voltage between BFC harness connector C1, terminal A8 (Purple wire) and ground. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, go to step 6).
  3. Check for poor connection at BFC connector C1, terminal A8 (Purple wire). If a poor connection exists, go to next step. If connection is okay, go to step 5).
  4. Repair poor connection at BFC connector C1, terminal A8 (Purple wire). Go to step 11).
  5. Replace BFC. See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION  . Go to step 11).
  6. Disconnect left I/P wiring harness junction block Brown 68-pin connector C1, terminal C9 (Purple wire). Using DVOM, check resistance between BFC harness connector C1, terminal A8 (Purple wire) and left I/P wiring harness junction block harness connector C1, terminal C9 (Purple wire). If resistance is 0-2 ohms, go to step 8). If resistance is not 0-2 ohms, go to next step.
  7. Repair open in Purple wire between BFC connector C1 and left I/P wiring harness junction block connector C1. Go to step 11).
  8. Check for a poor connection at left I/P wiring harness junction block connector C1, terminal C9 (Purple wire). If a poor connection exists, go to next step. If connection is okay, go to step 10).
  9. Repair poor connection at left I/P wiring harness junction block connector C1, terminal C9 (Purple wire). Go to step 11).
  10. Replace left I/P wiring harness junction block connector. Go to next step.
  11. Clear DTCs. Perform BFC DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  .
