DTC B2648: Ambient Light Sensor Signal Short To Battery: Testing
- If BFC diagnostic system check was performed, go to next step. If BFC diagnostic system check was not performed, see procedures in BFC DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK .
- Disconnect BFC Gray 24-pin connector C2. Disconnect ambient light sensor from top of instrument panel. Using DVOM, check voltage between ambient light sensor harness terminal "B" (Yellow/Black wire) and ground. If reading is zero volts, go to step 4). If reading is not zero volts, go to next step.
- Repair short to battery in Yellow/Black wire between ambient light sensor and BFC connector C2. Go to step 5).
- Replace ambient light sensor. Go to next step.
- Reconnect all disconnected components. Clear DTCs. Check for DTCs. If DTC B2648 exists, go to next step. If DTC B2648 does not exist, go to step 7).
- Replace BFC. See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION . Go to next step.
- Clear DTCs. Perform BFC DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK .
