Low Coolant Indicator Lights Continuously

  1. Using scan tool, monitor BFC inputs. If low coolant indicator is ON, see LOW ENGINE COOLANT INDICATOR MALFUNCTIONS  under DIAGNOSTIC TESTS. If low coolant indicator is not ON, go to next step.
  2. Using scan tool, monitor BFC SPI serial data link. If BFC is commanding low coolant indicator OFF and indicator is illuminated, replace instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT PANEL article.
