Charge Indicator Light Always On
- Disconnect PCM C2 connector. Turn ignition on. If charge indicator is on, go to next step. If charge indicator is not on, go to step 5).
- Check circuit between PCM and instrument panel for short to ground. If short exists, go to next step. If circuit is okay, go to step 4).
- Repair circuit. Recheck system.
- Replace instrument panel. Recheck system.
- Reconnect PCM C2 connector. Disconnect generator connector. Start engine and run above 1200 RPM. If charge indicator is on, go to next step. If charge indicator is not on, go to step 9).
- Check circuit between PCM and generator (Red wire) for short to ground. If short exists, go to next step. If circuit is okay, go to step 4).
- Repair wiring between PCM and generator (Red wire). Recheck system.
- Replace PCM. Recheck system.
- Replace generator. Recheck system.
