Mirror Does Not Manually Move In Any Direction

NOTE: After repair or component replacement is completed, perform MEMORY SYSTEM CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING to verify system is functioning properly.
  1. Perform MEMORY SYSTEM CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING. Go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Ground memory seat diagnostic connector. Memory seat/mirror module will chime once to indicate Mode 1 has been entered. Operate left outside mirror switch in all directions. Memory seat/mirror module should chime once at each switch input. If any switch input does not cause a chime to sound, go to next step. If all switch inputs cause a chime to sound, go to MIRROR DOES NOT MANUALLY MOVE LEFT OR RIGHT  or MIRROR DOES NOT MANUALLY MOVE UP OR DOWN  .
  3. Disconnect left outside mirror switch Black, 8-pin connector. Using DVOM, check voltage between left outside mirror switch harness connector terminal "E" (Orange wire) and ground. If about 12 volts exists, go to next step. If about 12 volts does not exist, go to step 7).
  4. Check voltage between left outside mirror switch harness connector terminals "E" (Orange wire) and "D" (Black wire). If about 12 volts exists, go to next step. If about 12 volts does not exist, go to step 8).
  5. On left mirror, check for open in Light Blue wire between left outside mirror switch and memory seat/mirror module 32-pin connector C2 (Blue). On right mirror, check for open in Gray wire between left outside mirror switch and memory seat/mirror module Blue, 32-pin connector C2. If circuit is okay, go to next step. If circuit is not okay, go to step 9).
  6. Replace left outside mirror switch. See MIRRORS - POWER article.
  7. Repair open or short to ground in Orange wire between left outside mirror switch and instrument panel fuse block.
  8. Repair open in Black wire between left outside mirror switch and ground.
  9. Repair open in Light Blue or Gray wire between left outside mirror switch and memory seat/mirror module 32-pin connector C2 (Blue).
