Mirror Does Not Manually Move Left Or Right

NOTE: After repair or component replacement is completed, perform MEMORY SYSTEM CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING to verify system is functioning properly.
  1. Perform MEMORY SYSTEM CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING. Go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Ground memory seat diagnostic connector. Memory seat/mirror module will chime once to indicate Mode 1 has been entered. Operate left outside mirror switch in all directions. Memory seat/mirror module should chime once at each switch input. If any switch input does not cause a chime to sound, go to step 6). If all switch inputs cause a chime to sound, go to next step.
  3. On left mirror, check for open in White wire between left outside mirror and memory seat/mirror module 6-pin connector C3 (Gray). On right mirror, check for open in Red/White wire between right outside mirror and memory seat/mirror module 6-pin connector C3 (Gray). If circuit is okay, go to next step. If circuit is not okay, go to step 8).
  4. On left mirror, check for open in Light Blue wire between left outside mirror and splice S506. On right mirror, check for open in Gray wire between right outside mirror and splice S600. If circuit is okay, go to next step. If circuit is not okay, go to step 8).
  5. Replace mirror left/right motor. To remove power mirror assembly, see MIRRORS - POWER article.
  6. On left mirror, check for open in White wire between left outside mirror switch and memory seat/mirror module 32-pin connector C2 (Blue). On right mirror, check for open in Red/White wire between left outside mirror switch and memory seat/mirror module 32-pin connector C2 (Blue). If circuit is okay, go to next step. If circuit is not okay, go to step 8).
  7. Replace left outside mirror switch. See MIRRORS - POWER article.
  8. Repair open in appropriate wire. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
