DTC B0608: IPC Power Malfunction: Description
IPC receives voltage inputs from 3 ignition signals. IPC receives voltage from IGN 0 fuse (wake-up signal) when ignition switch is in ACC, RUN or START position. IPC receives voltage from CLUSTER, PCM-BCM fuse (10-amp) when ignition switch is in RUN and START position. BCM/IPC receives voltage from CRANK SIGNAL fuse (10-amp) when ignition switch is in START position.
DTC B0608 will set when IPC detects Ignition 1 is active with Ignition 0 inactive, CRANK is active with Ignition 0 inactive, or CRANK is active with Ignition 1 inactive. Any combination must occur for longer than 0.3 second. Driver warning message will be displayed.
If conditions for malfunction no longer exist, history DTC will clear after 100 consecutive ignition cycles. DTC B0608 will also clear when conditions no longer exist or when scan tool is used to clear codes.
