DTC U1301: Class 2 Data Link Shorted To Power: Testing

  1. Perform under SYSTEM TESTS. Go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Using scan tool, clear BCM DTCs. Recheck for current BCM DTCs. If DTC U1300 resets, go to next step. If DTC U1300 does not reset, go to step  4 .
  3. Replace module that set DTC U1300. Go to appropriate removal and installation procedure for appropriate system. After repairs, go to step  5 .
  4. Symptom does not exist at this time. See DIAGNOSTIC AIDS  for additional diagnostic information.
  5. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Connect all disconnected components and connectors. Recheck system operation.
