Test 5: Right Front Window Inoperative (Grand PRIX)
- If right front window operates from master switch assembly, go to next step. If right front window does not operate from master switch assembly, go to step 5 .
- Disconnect right front window switch connector. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Connect a test light between ground and right front window switch connector terminal "F". See Figure . If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, go to step 4 .
- Replace right front window switch. See WINDOW SWITCH under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Recheck system operation.
- Repair poor connection or open in wire between right front window switch connector terminal "F" and splice S307. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Recheck system operation.
- Disconnect right front window switch connector. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Using a test light, backprobe between right front window switch connector terminals "H" and "D". If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, go to step 7 terminal "D" .
- Replace master switch assembly. See WINDOW SWITCH under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Recheck system operation.
- Leave test light in same position as step 5) . While observing test light, move right front window switch on master switch assembly to UP and DOWN positions. If test light illuminates in both positions, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate in both positions, go to step 9 .
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Connect right front window switch. Disconnect right front window motor connector. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Using a test light, backprobe right front window motor connector terminals "A" and "B". If test light illuminates, go to step 3 . If test light does not illuminate, go to step 11 .
- Check for poor connection or open in wire between master switch assembly and right front window switch connector terminal "H". Repair as necessary. If wire is okay, go to next step.
- Check for poor connection or open in wire between master switch assembly and right front window switch connector terminal "D". See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Repair as necessary. If wire is okay, go to step 6 .
- Leave test light in same position as step 8 . While observing test light, move right front window switch on master switch assembly to UP and DOWN positions. If test light illuminates in both positions, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, go to step 13 .
- Replace right front window motor. See WINDOW MOTOR under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Recheck system operation.
- Check for poor connection or open in Dark Blue wire between right front window switch and right front window motor. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Repair as necessary. If circuit is okay, go to next step.
- Check for poor connection or open in Brown wire between right front window switch and right front window motor. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Repair as necessary. If circuit is okay, go to step 3 .
