Installation Procedure

  1. Install the power steering pump reservoir to the power steering pump.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the power steering pump mounting bolts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolts to 34 N.m (25 lb ft).

  3. Install the power steering return hose to the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Return Hose Replacement .
  4. Install the power steering pressure hose to the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Pressure Hose Replacement .
  5. Install the power steering pump pulley to the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Pulley Replacement .
  6. Fill the Power Steering System. Refer to Checking and Adding Power Steering Fluid .
  7. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Bleeding the Power Steering System .
  8. Inspect the power steering system for leaks. Power Steering Fluid Leaks .
