Checking Sensor
Test with engine cold (engine compartment temperature below 85°F). Observe cold air door should be wide open. Start engine and allow to idle. Immediately after starting engine, cold air door should close. As engine warms up, cold air door should start to open and air cleaner should become warm. If correct operation of air cleaner is in doubt, proceed to thermometer check.
