Throttle Opener System: Operation
The engine speed sensor sends electrical impulse to solenoid valve at predetermined speeds. The solenoid activates the throttle opener diaphragm to increase engine speed. One-way diodes are installed in solenoid wiring to prevent feedback when lighting and air conditioning are used separately (front-wheel drive models). The throttle opener is not operated when deceleration fuel cut-off system is activated.
