Deceleration Fuel Cut-Off

During vehicle operation, idle position switch not at idle position, fuel delivery is determined by ECU responding to throttle valve closing speeds.

To decrease HC emissions during vehicle deceleration, fuel delivery time is decreased by ECU changing injection interval. When engine is operated under predetermined conditions, injection interval is changed from once every 3 pulses of air flow sensor to once every 6 pulses of air flow sensor.
