  1. Remove air cleaner and start engine. Check position of choke. Choke should be fully open. If choke position is okay, proceed to TEST 16  . If choke position is not okay, proceed to step 2).
  2. With engine running, connect voltmeter to choke feed wire and ground. Voltmeter should read within one volt of battery voltage. If voltage is okay, check for binding linkage, If okay, replace choke thermostat housing. If voltage is not okay, proceed to step 3).
  3. Turn ignition off. Disconnect oil pressure switch connector. Connect voltmeter to terminal C of oil pressure switch connector and ground. Turn ignition switch to "RUN" position. Voltage should be within one volt of battery voltage. If voltage is okay, proceed to step 4). If voltage is not okay, repair open circuit in harness to ignition switch.
  4. With oil pressure switch connector disconnected, connect ohmmeter between terminal "A" of oil pressure switch connector and choke connector. Ohmmeter should show continuity of zero resistance. If there is continuity, replace oil pressure switch. If there is no continuity, repair open circuit in harness.
