Test 13 - Carburetor Switch Check
NOTE:
The following tests must begin with the engine at normal operating temperature.
- Disconnect the computer 10-pin connector. Connect an ohmmeter between 10-pin connector cavity No. 7 and ground. Open and close the throttle while observing the ohmmeter. Ohmmeter should show continuity with no resistance when throttle is closed and no continuity when throttle is open. If continuity is okay, proceed to TEST 14 .
- If there is no continuity with the throttle closed, repair wire in connector cavity No. 7 for open circuit to the carburetor switch. If there is continuity with resistance when the throttle is closed, clean corrosion from carburetor switch. If there is continuity with throttle open, repair wire in connector cavity No. 7 for a short to ground.
