Checking Throttle Stop RPM

  1. With all lights and accessories off, connect tachometer to engine. Ground carburetor switch. Engine should be running at normal operating temperature. Reconnect vacuum connector at EGR CVSCC valve. Reinstall PCV valve. Remove jumper wire from radiator fan and reconnect connector.
  2. Remove power feed wire to SIS or solenoid kicker from carburetor 6-pin connector. Tachometer should read 600 RPM or less. If engine speed is okay, proceed to TEST 27  . If engine speed is greater than 600 RPM, adjust to specification.
