At this point, test procedures have determined that all engine control systems are operating correctly and are not the cause of the driveability problem. Check the following as possible causes:
- Check for at least 13 in. Hg engine vacuum in Neutral.
- Check engine valve timing.
- Check engine compression.
- Check engine cooling system.
- Check exhaust system for restrictions.
- Check engine PCV system for free flow.
- Check fuel pump pressure, volume and vacuum.
- Check torque converter stall speed.
- Check power brake booster for internal vacuum leaks.
- Check for fuel contamination.
- Check carburetor for circuit contamination and proper calibration.
- Check Technical Service Bulletins that may apply to vehicle.
