Remove, Overhaul & Install: Remove/Install/Overhaul: Introduction: Carburetor: Removal

Remove air cleaner. Disconnect engine coolant, vacuum, fuel and vapor hoses from carburetor. Disconnect throttle cable and automatic transmission kickdown cable (if equipped). Disconnect electrical connectors. Remove hold-down bolts and remove carburetor.

NOTE: DO NOT invert carburetor during disassembly. Do not remove choke valves, choke levers and related parts, round nut from accelerator pump link, adjusting screws (except idle speed, idle mixture and dashpot), or throttle valves.
