Automatic Door Lock Inoperative

NOTE: After making any repairs, perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS. Unless instructed otherwise in test step, reconnect any disconnected connectors.
  1. Turn ignition off. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). DLC is located on bottom of instrument panel, to left of brake pedal. See Figure. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, select BODY, THEFT ALARM, VTSS, MISCELLANEOUS, then AUTO DOOR LOCKS. If scan tool displays AUTO DOOR LOCKS: ENABLED, leave scan tool connected and go to next step. If scan tool does not display AUTO DOOR LOCKS: DISABLED, use scan tool to enable automatic door locks.
  2. Using scan tool read ENGINE DTCs. If any ENGINE DTCs are displayed, perform corresponding test in SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - NEON article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE. If no ENGINE DTCs are displayed, replace Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) module. See REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY (RKE) MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
