All Doors Fail To Lock
NOTE:
After making any repairs, perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST
under VERIFICATION TESTS.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect Black 26-pin RKE module connector, located under center of instrument panel top cover. See Figure . Using ohmmeter, check resistance between RKE module connector terminal No. 4, door lock driver circuit (Orange/Black wire) and ground. See Figure . If resistance is 1000 ohms or more, go to next step. If resistance is less than 1000 ohms, repair short to ground on Orange/Black wire.
- Using ohmmeter, check resistance between RKE module connector terminals No. 4, door lock driver circuit (Orange/Black wire) and No. 16, deck lid release driver circuit (Light Green/Black wire). If resistance is 100 ohms or more, go to next step. If resistance is less than 100 ohms, repair short between circuits.
- Using ohmmeter, check resistance between RKE module connector terminals No. 5, driver's door unlock driver circuit (Pink/Black wire) and No. 16, deck lid release driver circuit (Light Green/Black wire). If resistance is 100 ohms or more, go to next step. If resistance is less than 100 ohms, repair short between circuits.
- Using ohmmeter, check resistance between RKE module connector terminals No. 6, door unlock driver circuit (Pink./Violet wire) and No. 16, deck lid release driver circuit (Light Green/Black wire). If resistance is less than 100 ohms, repair short between circuits. If resistance is 100 ohms or more, replace RKE module. See REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY MODULE under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
