Control Lever Position Sensor

  1. Connect a voltmeter to the "Blue/Yellow" and "Blue/Red" color coded terminals without disconnecting the control lever position sensor connector. The "Blue/Yellow" wire is positive and the "Blue/Red" wire is negative.
  2. Move the control lever so the clearance between the control lever and the idle stopper is .275" (7 mm). Control lever sensor is normal if voltage is 3.3-4.4 volts, after starting engine. If not, replace sensor.
