Fuel Pressure Regulator
CAUTION:
Pressure regulator cover is under heavy spring tension, remove mounting screws carefully. To prevent leaks, pressure regulator diaphragm must be replaced whenever cover is removed.
Removal & Installation
1) Carefully remove fuel pressure regulator cover screws. Remove spring and pressure diaphragm assembly. Inspect regulator seat in fuel metering assembly for scratches and pits. Replace throttle body if damaged.
2) Install new pressure regulator diaphragm assembly, ensuring it is seated in groove of fuel metering assembly. Install spring and cover. Use a thread locking compound on cover screws and tighten to 22 INCH lbs. (2.5 N.m). Turn ignition on and check for fuel leaks.
