Clearing DTCS

  1. Current codes will remain stored and displayed as long as BCM detects fault criteria. To clear history codes on vehicles with power door locks, depress door unlock switch for 4 seconds while in BCM diagnostic mode. After 4-second time period, chime will sound 3 times to confirm codes have cleared.
  2. To clear history codes on vehicles without power door locks, use fused jumper wire to backprobe between BCM 5-pin, connector C1, terminal "D" (Orange/Black wire) and ground for 4 seconds while in BCM diagnostic mode. After 4-second time period, chime will sound 3 times to confirm codes have cleared.
