Basic Ignition System Checks: OPTI-Spark: Spark

Disconnect tachometer wire (if equipped). A shorted tachometer will prevent vehicle from starting. Using Spark Tester (J-26792), check for adequate spark. Check for spark on more than one plug wire. When removing spark plug wire from spark plug, twist and pull on boot. DO NOT pull on wire.
