Clearing DTCS

  1. Current codes will remain stored and displayed as long as BCM detects fault conditions. To clear history codes on vehicles with power door locks, depress door unlock switch for 4 seconds while BCM is in diagnostic mode. After 4-second time period, chime will sound 3 times to confirm codes have cleared.
  2. To clear history codes on vehicles without power door locks, using a fused jumper wire connected to ground, backprobe between BCM 5-pin connector C1, terminal "D" (Orange/Black wire) for 4 seconds while BCM is in diagnostic mode. After 4-second time period, chime will sound 3 times to confirm codes have cleared.
