Transmitter Programming

NOTE: BCM reprogramming is necessary if a remote control or BCM is replaced. Always program both remote control door lock transmitters at the same time.
  1. Turn ignition to RUN position to disarm content theft deterrent system. Turn ignition off. Remove RADIO (fuse No. 17) from fuse block. Cycle ignition switch from OFF to RUN positions 3 times within 5 seconds. Doors lock, driver door unlocks and hatch releases, indicating Body Control Module (BCM) is in programming mode. Leave ignition switch in RUN position.
  2. Press and hold both LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on remote control door lock transmitter for approximately 15 seconds. Doors lock, driver door unlocks and hatch releases, confirming transmitter code is programmed. Any transmitter code that was previously programmed has been erased. BCM is now programmed to remote control door lock transmitter.
  3. Additional transmitters must be programmed at this time. If programming BCM to match additional transmitters, repeat step  2 . Up to 4 transmitters may be programmed. This must be done before RADIO fuse No. 17 is reinstalled. Turn ignition off. Reinstall RADIO fuse No. 17 to fuse block. Verify RKE system operation.
