Test 6: Express Down Feature Inoperative
NOTE:
Improper operation of express down function may occur if excessive effort is necessary to move window up and down. This may be caused by an improperly wound window regulator spring or worn or misadjusted regulator.
- Disconnect power window control module. Connect a test light between power window control module connector terminals "A" (Dark Blue wire) and "C" (Brown wire). See Figure . Turn ignition switch to RUN position. If test light illuminates, go to step 3 . If test light does not illuminate, go to next step.
- Check for open in Dark Blue wire between power window control module and splice S263. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If Dark Blue wire is okay, repair open in Brown wire between power window control module and splice S208. Repair as necessary and retest system.
- Check for poor connection at power window control module. If connection is okay, replace power window control module.
